Georges Brassens

Georges Brassens rarely performed outside his own country, and his lyrics are difficult to translate, though attempts have been made, by Cornelis Vreeswijk for example. He began his career in the 1950s and performed with an acoustic guitar most of the time. He died of cancer in 1981.
